Bosch 2-in-1 Unlimited 7 Aqua review: unboxing and set-up
The Bosch 2-in-1 Unlimited 7 Aqua arrived in a big cardboard box which contained multiple pieces. In the box, you receive the battery, charger, vacuum head, mop head, three additional cleaning accessories, spare mop pads and an instructions manual.
The Bosch 2-in-1 Unlimited 7 Aqua measures 1,315 x 252 x 204mm and weighs 4.7kg. It’s relatively easy to assemble, although I found the instructions a little tricky to understand. However, it’s all very self-explanatory so it took me hardly any time at all to set-up the Bosch 2-in-1 Unlimited 7 Aqua.
To put the vacuum-mop together, you simply line up the vacuum tubes and click them together. The battery fixes on the back of the handle and slides into place. To switch between the vacuum and mop, you just take off the attachment at the bottom before clicking the other one into place.

Bosch 2-in-1 Unlimited 7 Aqua review: design and features
The main controls of the Bosch 2-in-1 Unlimited 7 Aqua are located at the top of the handle. It has three power modes to choose from, including Auto, Eco and Turbo, and you can quickly switch between them with the sliding button. The battery and charge level are also shown on the top of the device, and the Bosch 2-in-1 Unlimited 7 Aqua takes around 5 hours to charge fully and offers a 40 minute run-time.
The AllFloor Dynamic Power Brush vacuum head easily hoovers up dirt and dust, and works across all floor surfaces, including hardwood and carpets. The Power Spinning Pads spin quickly across the floor to remove stains, and add water sparingly via its Automatic Water Supply. To fill the mop attachment, you simply remove the water tank and add water before clicking it back in place.

Bosch 2-in-1 Unlimited 7 Aqua review: vacuuming performance
Having used a corded vacuum cleaner for years, I was excited to try out a cordless vacuum-mop and was pleasantly surprised to find how light the Bosch 2-in-1 Unlimited 7 Aqua is to carry and move around. After charging it for a few hours, I found it charged up very quickly, although the battery drains fast when on Turbo mode. I found using Eco mode worked just as efficiently and saved power so I got multiple uses out of the Bosch 2-in-1 Unlimited 7 Aqua using it in this mode.
The Bosch 2-in-1 Unlimited 7 Aqua expertly vacuums across all floors, although I found it offered a better performance on hardwood than carpet but it still does a good job on the latter. It gets into tight spaces easily and sucks up dirt, dust and other detritus easily, although it occasionally spat some bigger things back out. The dirt bag capacity was also pretty impressive as I used it several times around my entire house before having to empty it.

Bosch 2-in-1 Unlimited 7 Aqua review: mopping performance
Changing out the vacuum head for the mop head was extremely easy, and once I’d filled the mopping attachment with water, it was ready to go. The Bosch 2-in-1 Unlimited 7 Aqua in mopping mode covers the floor nicely without letting the pads or floor get too wet. It let out water automatically over time and left my floors looking clean and sparkling.
The only negative I had was the mop pads needed a little assistance at times when tackling tough stains. I often found that I needed to press down a bit to get rid of those types of stains, but the Bosch 2-in-1 Unlimited 7 Aqua did most of the work for you, unlike traditional mops where it’s all on you.

Bosch 2-in-1 Unlimited 7 Aqua review: verdict
I found the Bosch 2-in-1 Unlimited 7 Aqua to be an exceptional cordless vacuum cleaner and mop. Its vacuuming performance was the star of the show for me, as it easily tackled dirt on both hardwood and carpet surfaces. The mop also did a brilliant job, and its many attachments meant it could clean up a multitude of messes.
Despite having to add pressure to remove stains with the mop and the battery draining quite quickly in Turbo mode, the Bosch 2-in-1 Unlimited 7 Aqua is an admirable vacuum-mop hybrid and it’s more cost-effective than other big name brands with similar products.
Bosch 2-in-1 Unlimited 7 Aqua review: alternatives to consider
If you fancy a different brand, a good alternative to the Bosch 2-in-1 Unlimited 7 Aqua is theDyson V15s Detect Submarine. At £799.99 theDysonV15s Detect Submarine is significantly more expensive than the Bosch 2-in-1 Unlimited 7 Aqua, but it offers excellent vacuuming and mopping, and has a LCD digital screen to play with.
Most of thebest robot vacuum cleanerscome with mopping options, including mopping pads built into the main body of the vacuum and an accompanying water tank that can sometimes self-clean. So, if you want a vacuum-mop which does everything for you, I’d recommend looking into one of those.
