There’s one event each year that remains at the core of the technology calendar for new releases and concepts. No, it’s not theT3 Awards– though that will be here before you know it.
I’m talking about the Consumer Electronics Show, better known asCES. This mammoth event takes place in Las Vegas each January and for6 2023 it’s a return to form. The in-person show was cancelled in 2021 for obvious reasons, and many stayed away again in 2022.
For CES 2023, however, it’s full steam ahead, with T3 on the ground to pick through all the latest and greatest news, products and innovation. Here are all the major announcements over the course of the show, which we’ll be updating daily.
T3 will also have its own Best of CES 2023 awards, where we formally recognise the best products at this year’s show. This will be announced straight after the show ends, so keep your eyes peeled for that feature.

LG released a full alphabet of new TV sets, including the much anticipatedLG C3. This OLED set replaces the hugely popularLG C2model, and is likely to be the one to buy for 2023. However, there is also the super-brightLG G3to contend with.
Bigger is apparently better this year when it comes to gaming laptops with not one but a whole bunch of new18-inch laptops launching, of which I’ve seen the Acer model. In addition to the new range of Alienware machines, Dell also updated its own-branded gaming laptops with newDell G15 and G16 modelsthat get a serious splash of colour in addition to some upgrade specs.
Not to be outdone,Samsungwent big on its releases yesterday – literally. These included a newSamsung 77-inch OLED TV, and a newdigital cockpit for self-driving carsthat will give the likes of Apple CarPlay and Android Automotive a run for their money. Perhaps its most interesting release though is a new monitor design that incorporates both afold and flexto change the size of the display.
As a background to all that, the latest processors and graphics cards from Intel, AMD and Nvidia were all revealed. That’s why an abundance of laptops were revealed today, with more expected to follow…

Not to be outdone in the automotive sector, however,BMW revealed its E-Ink colour-changing concept carjust hours after Sony and Honda’s venture was shown for the first time.
Throughout the day various companies lifted the lids on various products. It turns out that LG wasn’t yet done with its TVs, revealing a fullytransparent OLED Tmodel, plus an almost wire-free OLED M3 panel (in a whopping 97 inches only).
Panasonic also revealed itsOLED MZ2000model, which might be the best OLED TV revealed at the show. It could be even more appealing than the LG G3, but I’ll have to take a look at both before making any verdict on that.

The big day! The doors to Las Vegas Convention Center’s trio of halls opened at 9am, with many thousands of media attendees spilling into the showground. But before I headed to the conference, I’d already been out in the desert testing outQualcomm’s Snapdragon Satelliteforthcoming feature.
A whole bunch of new Lenovo products were revealed too, includinga really interesting dual-screen laptopthat’s literally all screen, andthe twist-it-round ThinkBook Plus Twist. The company’s phone brand,Motorola, also revealed a business phone, ThinkPhone, as part of ThinkPad’s 30th anniversary.
Gamers were certainly in for a treat this year when it comes to screens, and none more so than with Alienware’s500Hz monitor. And if you though soundbars were just for movies, Razer’s newgaming soundbarcertainly turned the tide. There was plenty of the regular audio side too, thanks to Victrola’swire-free turntable for Sonos, and Sennheiser revealing itsConversation Clear Plus earbudsto assist those with limited hearing.
