Update:The 17-year-old British teenager that was reportedly arrested in connection to the recent GTA 6 hacks at Rockstar Games has now been formally charged. Thought to be associated with the Lapsus$ hacking group, the minor – known as “A.K.” due to his age – is thought to have hackedMicrosoft, Nvidia and Uber also.
The alleged leaker has now been charged with “two counts of violating his bail and two counts of violating Britain’s computer misuse law,” according to journalist Matthew Keys (viaThe Desk). The teen is expected to remain in custody, however, a source believes two others were involved with the hacks and more arrests are expected, though no timeline was given.
UPDATE: I’ve confirmed the 17-year-old arrested in Oxfordshire for the cyber attack on Rockstar and Uber is the same teenager that was arrested earlier this year for hacking Microsoft and Nvidia. The teen associates with a group called “Lapsus$.” Additional arrests expected.September 24, 2022

“On the evening of Thursday 22 September 2022, the City of London Police arrested a 17-year-old in Oxfordshire on suspicion of hacking, as part of an investigation,” said The City of London Police (viaTwitter). “He remains in police custody.”

More details are expected to be released later today with a statement potentially coming from the FBI, according to the report.
If you missed the original news: Rockstar officially confirmed that someoneleaked footageof GTA 6 on September 18th, 2022. This included early development gameplay of the main characters, animations, location (which appears to be Vice City / Miami), gun combat, voice work and more.
“We recently suffered a network intrusion in which an unauthorised third party illegally accessed and downloaded confidential information from our systems, including early development footage for the next Grand Theft Auto,” the company said in a statement shortly afterwards.
